Youth Ministry-AFTERSHOCK

"AFTERSHOCK" is the name of our student ministry at Sandtown for grades 6 thru college. The name of our youth program comes from Acts 4:31; "After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly." This is our desire! We believe there is great power for life in an intimate relationship with God, and we want to help you grow in that relationship.

Sunday School

Sunday School begins at 10 am. We have Sunday School classes for all ages. These classes not only afford the opportunity to grow in your walk with Christ, but provide an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with other Christians. Check out the classes below to find one that fits you.

Middle School (grades 6 - 8) is taught by Stan Burt. Meets in the far-right classroom, 2nd floor, west end of the family life center.

High School (grades 10-12) is taught by Charles and Jennifer Stokes. Meets on third floor, west end of the family life center.

College & Career is taught by Kiah Hitt. Meets in the middle classroom of 2nd floor on the west end of the family life center.

Sunday Night Discipleship-AMPLIFIED

Each Sunday night, we begin in the sanctuary for corporate worship before we head to our discipleship classes. The Youth (6th-College) meet in the Hangout (3rd Floor, West Side, of the Family Life Center.) There, Nick and our Youth spend time together building relationships, praying for each other, discussing scripture, and diving deep into the Word of God. During AMPLIFIED, our Sunday Night Bible Study, our Youth discuss just what exactly the Word says about things such as worship, evangelism, Spiritual Gifts, and so much more! This time is designated to not only building a relationship with God that lasts, but it is our time to make what we believe COME ALIVE!

Wednesday Night Worship and Break-Out Sessions

Wednesday Night Worship is an incredible experience for our Youth and their families. Supper begins at 5:30, and afterwards, starting at 6:30, families spend time in worship together in an amazing, moving way. Bro. Hal teaches the whole, diverse group on a variety of life-applicable topics, and then the Youth, as well as the children, "break-out" into their groups. Here we further discuss how we can apply what we have studied into our lives, spend time in prayer, and build relationships with one another. If you are looking for an opportunity to experience God's presence with your family, Wednesday night will be a blessing to you!

Youth Events

Throughout the year we have a variety of events that are geared towards creating lifelong bonds between our students and their peers, as well as provide opportunities to grow in Christ and minister to others!

From youth retreats, mission trips, concerts, and festivals, we can find the perfect spot for you to plug in!
